DIY Lash Extensions

What Are DIY Lash Extensions?

DIY lash extensions are lash clusters that are applied underneath your natural lashes instead of on top like traditional strip lashes. This application method creates a seamless at home lash extensions look without the need for a salon visit.

Lash clusters are small segments of lashes designed to mimic professional lash extensions. When applied correctly underneath your natural lash line, they blend perfectly with your natural lashes and create a fuller, longer lash look that lasts for days.

At Aera Lashes, our DIY lash extensions are designed to be lightweight, comfortable, and easy to apply — making salon-quality lashes possible right from home.

Why Lash Clusters Are Better Than Strip Lashes

Strip lashes have to be applied and removed every single day. If you’ve worn them before, you know the struggle - the corners lifting, glue showing, and constant reapplication.

DIY lash extensions using lash clusters solve that problem.

Because lash clusters are applied underneath your natural lashes, the lash band stays completely hidden. This creates a much more natural look that mimics professional lash extensions.

At Aera Lashes, our lash clusters feature weightless, invisible bands that feel comfortable and look seamless.

With the right lash cluster glue and proper application, Aera DIY lash extensions can last 7–10+ days.

And yes — some say we have the best DIY lash extension glue.

How to Apply DIY Lash Extensions

Applying DIY lash extensions at home is easier than most people think.

Start with clean lashes that are free from oils, makeup, or mascara. Using a foaming lash cleanser helps create the perfect base for your lash clusters to adhere properly.

Once your lashes are clean and dry, curl your natural lashes to help blend them with your lash clusters.

Next, apply your lash cluster glue.

At Aera Lashes we offer two glue options for at home lash extensions:

• Brush-on lash glue (available in clear or black)
• The Side Chick adhesive primer

For our brush-on glue, apply a 3D bead of glue to the top of the lash cluster band. Allow the glue to become tacky for about 60–120 seconds before applying.

Once tacky, gently place the lash cluster underneath your natural lashes, just above the waterline.

Our lash clusters come pre-mapped, meaning they are already designed for the correct eye and lash placement.

After applying all lash clusters, use the Aera Lash Presser to press your natural lashes and lash clusters together. This step locks in your DIY lash extensions for long-lasting wear.
